I have been talking a lot about building talent pools lately. Here is a great article How to uncover the 3 hidden talent pools you already have by Jack Zenger on Forbes.
Jack found just like we do that Executives in many companies are concerned about their ability to attract and retain managerial talent.
He then points to 3 three groups of highly talented and underutilized individuals who would be strong candidates for these future leadership roles;
- Young supervisors
- Individual contributors
Jack points to the fact that there will be many talented leaders retiring in the near future and there will be many hiring options for organisations. He also believes that we may be surprised at the level of talent you already have within your own walls.
